2010 Annual Fire Fighters Formal
2010 Charity BallSpend a great evening at the Firefighters of Portadown Charity Ball and help support Northern Ireland’s only ovarian cancer charity, Angels of Hope
In Northern Ireland today there are 1,000 women living with Ovarian Cancer, with 210 being diagnosed each year. For every woman that has Ovarian Cancer, there are many, many families and friends who are affected by their illness.
Angels of Hope works to raise awareness and improve knowledge of Ovarian Cancer, and offers support to sufferers, survivors, and their families. In addition, Angels of Hope has a Drop-In Centre in Belfast, right next to Belfast City Hospital where all treatment for Ovarian Cancer takes place in Northern Ireland. The Centre offers a range of support services including information, counselling, support group lunches, and complementary therapies for sufferers and their carers. The peaceful and comfortable surroundings are a haven for those undergoing treatment and a place where families and friends can link with other supporters during the sufferer’s hospital appointments.
Angels of Hope is the chosen charity of the Firefighters of Portadown Fire Station at its Annual Charity Ball to be held on Friday 1 October 2010 at the Ramada Inn, Shaw’s Bridge. This glittering fundraising event includes a Sparkling Wine Reception, Four-course Dinner, Dancing to live band Rio and DJ Gorgeous George, Prize Draws and lots of other activities, all for just £40 per person!
